Supporting healthy ageing

### A clinic with a difference

Dr Charlesworth's Clinic was formed as I view aesthetic medicine and anti-aging treatments as an extension of good medical care, not a simple menu of treatments. Since your skin reflects your overall health and factors like hormones, metabolism, and lifestyle influence ageing I take a whole-body approach that addresses root causes rather than just the surface.

As a GP, I focus on supporting healthy ageing, skin integrity, and metabolic wellbeing, which can include weight management. My goal is to reduce inflammation and protect your long-term health. Every treatment, from Botox and injectables to regenerative therapies, is tailored specifically for you. Product choice, technique, and technology, such as advanced Lynton lasers, are selected to ensure safety and that natural results are always the priority.

### The clinic's location in Sevenoaks

My clinic is located within the countryside setting of St Julians members’ club in Sevenoaks. I chose this location because I believe environment, movement, community, and stress reduction are central to wellbeing.

Being part of a members' club allows me to build long-term relationships with patients and engage with the community through talks and educational events, rather than operating a transactional clinic. The facilities, including a pool, tennis courts, and yoga studios, complement my holistic approach and provide a relaxed environment for consultations.

A GP-led clinic

## A consultation-first, doctor-led approach

As a medical clinic patients cannot book treatments directly. All care begins with a comprehensive, medical consultation.

This allows time to understand a patient’s health history, medications, concerns and priorities and to assess which treatments would be appropriate, or even necessary. I work collaboratively with patients, explaining the evidence, risks and realistic outcomes so decisions are shared, informed and never rushed. I do not upsell treatments, and safety always comes before any intervention.

As a GP-led clinic, I am uniquely placed to understand how medical conditions, hormonal change, neurodiversity, stress and ageing interact with appearance and treatment outcomes. This breadth allows me to offer a range of evidence-based solutions rather than a single treatment focused approach.

**Governance, safety and standards**

I am registered with and regulated by the General Medical Council (GMC), undertake annual appraisals to review my practice, and am on the Kent Performers List as a GP. The clinic is CQC registered and operates within National Institute of Clinical Excellence, RCGP, BCAM and MPS and Hamilton Fraser best practice frameworks, with clear protocols covering delivering hospital grade medical care including prescribing, on site medication dispensing, safeguarding, infection control, data security and patient safety. All hospital-based emergency care is available in case of emergencies including AED defibrillator, oxygen and emergency drugs.

**What matters most to me**

More than anything I enjoy combining clinical expertise with genuine human connection and continuity of care which is why I have chosen to train as a GP. I guarantee a traditional approach to medicine where the patient is at the centre of everything I do and continuity of your care.

I take responsibility and accountability for the journey versus faced paced anonymous chat bot and ad hoc information. Often what brings someone through the door is not the root issue, and being able to uncover that through careful conversation, clinical assessment and trust is one of the most rewarding aspects of my practice.

Ultimately, my aim is simple: to help patients feel heard, supported and confident in their care and to age in a way that feels appropriate, sustainable and grounded in good medicine.
